  1. Merci, Karen! Reading about Julia and your crepes, even the first 10, brought me right back to Paris. C’est magnifique!

    • Thanks, Pat! Crepes in the park in Paris has to be one of my favorite memories of my time there. It’s fun to be able to recreate that vacation feel at home. :-)

    • Marianne, I often need to remind myself! That’s why writing it down helps. But I would love to have the conversation in person one day soon. :-)

  2. when I was a kid I remember seeing Julia making poached eggs – when her first batch didn’t work she said in her crazy voice ” if they don’t work just flip them in the garbage!” And she deftly threw them away, blam! Lol

    • I love it! I got caught up watching several episodes this last week, and she cracks me up. I showed her to my big kid though, and he couldn’t get past her voice. She has the best attitude in the kitchen, and just takes it all as it comes.

  3. Such wisdom in and out of the kitchen! And yes, of course, I’ll be happy to come over and eat some crepes – just say when…

  4. What a great story. I’m an epic failure at failing, so I hear ya. Sounds like you weren’t a failure though after all! Sounds like you success at the right things . :-)

  5. My daughter was just asking for crepes. I’ll have to be a risk-taker and give them a try. Thanks for sharing your inspiring stories! Clearly, you have successfully conveyed some elemental life lessons.

  6. Love this! I’m so behind with reading your blog, I’m binge reading tonight! I just had crepes this weekend for Mother’s Day breakfast, but will have to try this new recipe, haven’t seen one that calls for water before!
